Food Groups

Hi,

as we write a lot about food in our blog, we decided that it would be a great idea to clarify food groups, as they play a major role in food combining and building right eating habits.

There are 5 major Food groups:

  • Proteins (Meat, Dairy, Eggs, Beans & Nuts)
  • Carbohydrates (Starches, Fruits & Sugar)
  • Fruits (Acid Fruits & Sweet Fruits)
  • Fats (Animal & Vegetable)
  • Vegetables (Non-Starchy & Mildly Starchy).
